Haryana Govt Announces Cashless Medical Facility for Govt Employees and Dependents

Chandigarh, 2nd Jan. Haryana government on Monday announced a cashless medical facility for government employees and their dependents.

The scheme was initially launched on a pilot basis for employees in the fisheries and horticulture departments, providing cashless healthcare starting from November 1, 2023.

Now, the coverage has been expanded to include all regular government employees, and the state government will bear the entire expenditure for the scheme.

The implementation of this scheme is managed by the Ayushman Bharat Haryana Health Protection Authority (State Health Authority).

The cashless healthcare facility was inaugurated by Governor Bandaru Dattatreya, in the presence of Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar.

During the event, Ayushman cards were symbolically distributed to the beneficiaries.

The scheme offers cashless procedures for six life-threatening emergencies, such as cardiac emergencies, cerebral hemorrhage, coma, electric shock, third and fourth stage cancer, and accidents.

It also covers all types of indoor treatments and daycare procedures. These services are available in all hospitals that are empanelled with the Director General of Health Services under this scheme.

E-cards or CCHF cards will be issued to beneficiaries to avail the benefits, and they can use a payee code, Aadhaar number, or Parivar Pehchan Patra (family ID) number to access the benefits.
