Pithoragarh,18th July. 9 sewage treatment plants of 30 MLD each , in 6 rivers flowing in US Nagar district of the state will be established soon under Swatch Ganga mission of water resources ministry of government of india, as a sum of Rs 199.36 crores has been sanctioned for the project by the ministry. Uttarakhand water resource minister Bishan singh Chudail said here today.
“After my meeting with union water resource minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, last week, the ministry has sanctioned the project, while the proposal to include Saryu, Jarmani Hispana, Kaliganga and Ramganga into the swatch Ganga mission, is on anvil.”said Bishan Singh Chufal, who was talking to reporters after returning from New Delhi.
According to the minister the rivers that have been included in the project, are Nandhor Pilkha, Koshi etc.”
Besides these 17 other Nullahs will be included under the project for tapping water .”said Chufal.
