84-Year-Old Rajyogini Mohini Didi Becomes New Chief Administrator of Brahmakumaris

Rajyogini BK Munni Appointed as Additional Chief Administrator

Abu Road— Rajyogini Mohini Didi, aged 84, has been appointed as the new Chief Administrator of Brahmakumaris. With this appointment, she becomes the sixth leader to take charge of the institution. Mohini Didi had served as the Additional Chief Administrator for the last four years and has been a pivotal figure in the organization’s expansion.

The announcement was made following a Management Committee meeting on Sunday, where the decision was made by unanimous consent. This comes shortly after the passing of the previous Chief Administrator, Rajyogini Dadi Ratnamohini, who was 101 years old. Traditionally, the role of Chief Administrator has been held by elderly women known as “Dadis,” but this is the first time the responsibility has been entrusted to a “Didi,” a senior woman leader in Brahmakumaris.

Alongside Mohini Didi’s appointment, Rajyogini BK Munni has been designated as the new Additional Chief Administrator.

A Legacy of Service and Spiritual Leadership
Born in 1941 in Delhi, BK Mohini Didi completed her education at Delhi University with degrees in History, Political Science, and Journalism. Before stepping into her leadership role, she served as the Regional Coordinator for Brahmakumaris in North and South America, as well as the Caribbean, where she played a key role in expanding the organization’s global presence.

Reflecting on her appointment, Mohini Didi expressed deep gratitude for her time spent with Brahma Baba, the founder of Brahmakumaris. “It has been an honor to learn from Brahma Baba’s teachings, which continue to guide my life,” she shared. She likened the transition of leadership within Brahmakumaris to the way elders pass down important responsibilities in a family, signifying continuity and respect for tradition.

A Pioneer in Global Expansion
Mohini Didi’s journey with Brahmakumaris extends far beyond India. In 1972, she played a pivotal role in establishing the first Brahmakumaris service centers overseas. Her efforts bore fruit in 1976 when she successfully launched the organization’s first service centers in North America. By 1978, she had established a regional headquarters in the United States. She is also the current President of the Brahmakumaris World Spiritual Organization in the U.S. and has represented the institution at the United Nations as a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) delegate since 1981.
