New Delhi, 10th March: The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) on Tuesday approved the revised cost estimate of ₹3,630.77 crore for the construction of a greenfield connectivity corridor linking Jewar International Airport with the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway.

The 31.42-kilometre corridor will connect the airport with the Delhi–Faridabad–Ballabhgarh–Sohna spur of the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway and will be developed under the Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM) across parts of Uttar Pradesh and Haryana.

The project aims to provide direct and high-speed connectivity from South Delhi, Faridabad and Gurugram to Jewar International Airport, improving transport efficiency and boosting economic activity across the National Capital Region (NCR).

According to the government, the corridor will intersect with key infrastructure networks including the Eastern Peripheral Expressway, Yamuna Expressway and the Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC), enabling seamless multimodal connectivity.

Around 11 kilometres of the project will be developed as an elevated highway, forming a critical link between the DND–Ballabhgarh Bypass and Jewar International Airport.

Officials said the elevated section is particularly important as it passes through areas identified for high-density urban development under the Faridabad Master Plan 2031.

The elevated corridor will require an additional investment of ₹689.24 crore, out of which the Haryana government has agreed to contribute ₹450 crore.

The government described the project as a strategic infrastructure initiative that will not only strengthen connectivity to the upcoming Noida International Airport at Jewar but also enhance logistics efficiency and support regional urban expansion.

The corridor is expected to play a key role in unlocking the full potential of the Jewar Airport–Delhi–Mumbai Expressway connectivity network, while supporting sustainable urban and economic growth across NCR.
