West Bengal: BJP writes to Chief Electoral Officer to Cap the Number of People at a Time in a Booth

Kolkata, 23^rd Sep. Bharatiya Janata Party has written a letter to the Chief Electoral Officer of West Bengal. The letter demands to restrict people in a booth to no more than 5 persons at a time – 4 polling officials and 1 voter.

By-poll to Bhawanipur and polling in Jangipur & Samserganj Assembly constituency is scheduled to be held on Sept 30^th in West Bengal.

The BJP’s letter to the Chief Electoral Officer of West Bengal further reads, “No one including burqa clad voters shall be permitted to enter a polling booth without their identity being matched with an approved ID.”
