Wall Collapse at Dargah in Delhi’s Nabi Karim Kills One, Injures Two

New Delhi, 13th Sept. A wall of a dargah in central Delhi’s Nabi Karim area collapsed early Friday morning amidst heavy rains, leaving one person dead and two others injured. The incident occurred around 6:45 am, with a rescue call made to the Delhi Fire Service (DFS) at 7 am.

Three fire tenders were dispatched to the scene, and two people were rescued from the debris. However, Rehmat, a 35-year-old e-rickshaw driver from Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh, who lived in a temporary shelter near the wall, was found trapped. He was pulled out and taken to the hospital but was declared dead upon arrival.

Two other individuals were injured and are receiving treatment. Rescue operations by the fire department, local police, and other teams are ongoing, with debris being cleared from the site.

The cause of the wall collapse is under investigation, with officials pointing to heavy rains as a likely factor.
