New Delhi, 14th August. In a strong message to the nation, Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar on Tuesday cautioned against “sinister forces” intent on destabilizing India and obstructing its progress.
Speaking before inaugurating the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ bike rally from Bharat Mandapam, Dhankhar emphasized the need for vigilance against those opposed to the country’s rapid development.
The Vice-President praised the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, initiated in 2021, for instilling a profound sense of national pride and unity among citizens. He described the Indian tricolour as a potent symbol of the nation’s sovereignty and collective identity. Dhankhar underscored that challenging Indian identity equates to challenging the very essence of the nation’s existence.
Highlighting the legacy of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, Dhankhar remembered Netaji’s historic act of hoisting the Indian flag on the Andaman and Nicobar Islands in 1943, symbolizing resistance against British rule. He reaffirmed Netaji’s enduring legacy and the nationwide recognition of freedom fighters during the ongoing ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’.
Dhankhar also noted India’s impressive global transformation and its commitment to peace and progress. He conveyed optimism about India’s future, asserting that the nation is on a path to becoming a developed country by 2047.
In his concluding remarks, Dhankhar urged citizens to uphold the honour of the tricolour, as he waved off the rally, marking the beginning of a significant phase in India’s journey towards its vision of a developed Bharat by the centenary of independence.
