New Delhi, 5th Jan. Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar on Sunday emphasized the importance of the ‘PanchPran’ (five pillars) as the foundation of India’s transformation during his address at the inauguration of the NCC Republic Day Camp – 2025 at Delhi Cantt’s Cariappa Parade Ground. The pillars – social harmony, family enlightenment, environmental consciousness, self-reliance, and civic duties – were described as vital to fostering a unified, self-reliant, and progressive nation.
The Vice President highlighted that the “nation-first approach” must override all other interests, be they personal or organizational. Addressing NCC cadets, he stated, “Our national transformation rests on these five pillars, which unite personal responsibility, cultural pride, and environmental awareness with unity and self-reliance.”
A Call to Vigilance and Unity
Dhankhar urged the cadets to remain vigilant against anti-national forces, underscoring the importance of safeguarding democratic values. He said, “Our dedication to the motherland must be steadfast and unshakeable, forming the bedrock of our existence.”
The Vice President commended the National Cadet Corps for instilling virtues of discipline and nationalism among youth, calling them the “architects of India’s glory towards 2047.”
India’s Rise on the Global Stage
Reflecting on India’s progress, Dhankhar remarked that the nation is transitioning from a land of potential to a global power with unmatched achievements. He cited infrastructure developments, advancements in technology, and India’s emergence as a preferred investment destination as evidence of this transformation.
“India’s rise is globally acclaimed and positively impacts every citizen. We are on the path to becoming the world’s third-largest economy, driven by governance reforms that emphasize merit and equal opportunity,” he noted.
Vision 2047
Concluding his address, the Vice President inspired the youth to lead India’s march towards 2047, envisioning a prosperous, unified, and globally respected nation. He called on the cadets to embrace the ‘PanchPran’ values in their daily lives, ensuring their role as custodians of India’s future.
