New Delhi, 19th Sept. Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar is set to embark on his maiden visit to the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu from September 20 to 22, 2024. During his three-day tour, he will inaugurate and review several significant infrastructure and development projects.
On September 20, at Daman, the Vice-President will inaugurate the Aviary at Jampore and visit the Health and Wellness Centre in Jumprin, the Government Engineering College, and the Ringanwada Panchayat & Ringanwada School.
The following day, September 21, Dhankhar will travel to Silvassa, where he will visit the NAMO Medical Education & Research Institute and interact with students and faculty. He will also attend a public function organized by the West Zone Cultural Centre at the Dokmardi Auditorium.
In the afternoon, the Vice-President will engage with local panchayat and Municipal Council representatives in Diu, and visit significant landmarks such as the Khukhri Vessel and Diu Fort.
On September 22, Dhankhar will visit Ghoghla Blue Flag Beach and Ghoghla Tent City in Diu. He will inaugurate the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) Flats and the Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) in Diu. The final day will include a visit to the Education Hub at Kevdi in Diu.
