Vivek Ramaswamy to Lead America’s ‘Department of Government Efficiency’

GG News Bureau
Washington, 14th Nov. Vivek Ramaswamy has been appointed as a minister by Donald Trump for his upcoming government. Trump, who recently defeated Kamala Harris in the U.S. elections, is set to take office as President next year. As part of his government formation process, Trump has assigned Ramaswamy, along with Elon Musk, to lead the newly established Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

Following the announcement of his appointment, Ramaswamy took to Twitter, stating that DOGE would soon begin crowdsourcing examples of government waste, fraud, and abuse from the public. He emphasized that Americans voted for strong government reform and deserve to be part of the solution. The DOGE initiative is a departure from traditional government agencies, functioning as an advisory group working outside the bureaucracy to provide strategic guidance to the White House and other federal agencies.

The goal of DOGE is to tackle inefficiencies and waste within the U.S. federal government, with Trump leveraging the business acumen of Ramaswamy and Musk—both successful entrepreneurs in their own right—to reduce government spending. This new role for Ramaswamy is also seen as a significant achievement for the Indian-American community.
