New Delhi, 6th June. A recent incident at Tihar Jail has stirred concerns as inmate Hitesh was reportedly stabbed with a weapon resembling an ice-pick. The altercation, which unfolded on Wednesday, prompted swift action from authorities.
Hitesh, who has been incarcerated since 2019, sustained injuries and was promptly transferred to DDU hospital for medical attention. Meanwhile, Gaurav and Gurinder are reportedly undergoing trial for charges related to murder and attempted murder.
In response to the severity of the situation, authorities have initiated legal proceedings under Section 307 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), highlighting the gravity of the offense.
