New Delhi, 13th June. Kapil Khanna, Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) chief of Delhi province, issued an open letter to the entire Hindu society in Delhi requesting the Hindu community of Delhi and all Hindu organisations to gather at all the temples, big and small, in their every street locality on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at 8.00 pm to recite the mass Hanuman Chalisa in protest against the unconstitutional actions.
The letter stated, “As we all know that the violent protests that took place all over the country after the Jumma prayers last Friday (June 10) and the Arab countries were approached and made statements against India, all this is a well-planned conspiracy to put pressure on the Hindu society within India to put pressure on the Government of India and to defame India all over the world. Stones were pelted on Hindu temples and houses in the markets. Fatwas were issued illegally for sister Nupur Sharma, showing distrust in the country’s constitution and law and order, courts, administration. Stone pelting was done by taking the law in hand without taking constitutional measures on any one thing said by any one woman. Illegal fatwas were issued for the murder of sister Nupur Sharma.”
The letter further added, “As the President of Vishwa Hindu Parishad Delhi Province, I want to say to everyone that the pressure created on the Hindu society due to such illegal demonstrations is rejected and strongly condemned by the Hindu society.”
In protest, tomorrow on Tuesday, I call upon the Hindu community of the whole of Delhi to gather at 8.00 p.m. tomorrow (June 14, 2022) in all the temples, big and small, in their street mohalla state and recite the collective Hanuman Chalisa. I also call upon all the temples in Delhi, from the managements of the temples, to the priests of the temples, to inform the devotees at their temples that the recitation of the collective Hanuman Chalisa will take place at 8.00 pm tomorrow. By demonstrating this kind of organized power of ours, it is absolutely necessary for the Hindu society to respond in a constitutional way to the immoral pressure that is being created on us. To get rid of this, we must gather at least one day a week in our temples. Wishing for the welfare of the business of the family of all of you Hindu brothers, I hope that you will cooperate with the Vishya Hindu Parishad wholeheartedly and with all your heart,” the letter concluded.
