PM Modi Marks Veer Baal Diwas, Honors Sahibzades' Sacrifices and Launches ‘Suposhit Gram Panchayat Abhiyan’

  Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday participated in the Veer Baal Diwas program at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, commemorating the unparalleled bravery and sacrifices of Sahibzada Zorawar Singh and Sahibzada Fateh Singh, the young sons of Guru Gobind Singh.
Addressing the gathering, he paid tribute to the Sahibzades, Mata Gujri Ji, and Guru Gobind Singh Ji, emphasizing the significance of their sacrifices for national unity and faith.

Highlighting the importance of youth in India’s progress, Modi stated, “From history to present times, youth energy has played a vital role in India’s development.”

He launched the ‘Suposhit Gram Panchayat Abhiyan’, aiming to foster healthy competition among village panchayats to eliminate malnutrition.

The Prime Minister also celebrated the bravery of 17 children who received Veer Baal Awards for their achievements in various fields.

PM Modi emphasized the role of youth-centric policies, such as the National Education Policy and Atal Tinkering Labs, in empowering the younger generation.

As part of the event, Modi announced the upcoming ‘Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue’ on Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary, aiming to engage one lakh youth from diverse backgrounds in political and developmental initiatives.

Concluding his address, PM Modi urged the youth to strive for excellence across all sectors, from infrastructure to space research, ensuring India’s rise as a developed nation. The event saw the presence of Union Minister Annapurna Devi and other dignitaries.
