Trump, Saudi Crown Prince Sign $600 Billion Economic and Defense Deal

Riyadh, May 14th May , : In a landmark move signaling deepening strategic ties, U.S. President Donald Trump and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman signed a $600 billion economic and defense partnership agreement during Trump’s visit to Riyadh on Tuesday.
The comprehensive deal spans energy, defense, infrastructure, and technology, with officials describing it as a “new golden era” in U.S.-Saudi relations. According to a White House factsheet, Saudi Arabia will invest $600 billion in the U.S., aimed at bolstering American energy security, revitalizing domestic manufacturing, and driving innovation across high-tech industries.
The agreement includes the largest defense sales package in U.S. history, valued at nearly $142 billion. It comprises state-of-the-art military systems, border security upgrades, and extensive training programs for Saudi forces. Boeing will supply $4.8 billion worth of 737-8 aircraft to Saudi aviation firm AviLease, while GE Vernova is set to deliver $14.2 billion in gas turbines and energy systems.
In the technology sector, Saudi data firm DataVolt will invest $20 billion in AI-powered data centers and energy infrastructure across the U.S. Tech giants Google, Oracle, Salesforce, AMD, and Uber will jointly lead $80 billion in investments toward transformative technologies.
Additionally, Shamekh IV Solutions, LLC announced a $5.8 billion healthcare investment, including a new IV fluid manufacturing plant in Michigan. New investment vehicles such as a $5 billion Energy Investment Fund and a $4 billion Global Sports Fund will also stimulate job growth and innovation.
The partnership strengthens bilateral cooperation beyond economics. NASA and the Saudi Space Agency signed an agreement for Saudi participation in the Artemis II lunar test mission via CubeSat. The Smithsonian Institution finalized cultural exchange agreements, including a new Arabian leopard exhibit at the National Zoo.
A new air transport deal will streamline cargo logistics, granting both nations’ carriers expanded global routing access. Further, cooperative efforts in energy and critical mineral resources are expected to boost supply chain resilience.
“President Trump is delivering on his promise to Make America Great Again,” the White House said, calling the agreement “a turning point for global leadership, prosperity, and peace.”
