Washington, 16th August. Richard R. Verma, Deputy Secretary of State for Management and Resources, will lead US delegations to Nepal on August 16 and to India from August 17-22, the US Department of State announced. The visit aims to strengthen ties and support a prosperous, secure, and resilient future for both countries.
In New Delhi, Verma will engage with senior government officials, climate leaders, and aerospace experts to discuss a range of topics including economic development, clean energy, climate action, and STEM education.
He will be accompanied by John Podesta, Senior Advisor to the President for International Climate Policy, and David Turk, Deputy Secretary of the US Department of Energy.
During his visit to Nepal, Verma and his delegation will meet with senior government officials, development professionals, and business leaders to address shared priorities such as economic development, women’s empowerment, energy, and enhancing people-to-people connections.
