UP STF Busts NEET UG Racket in Noida, Three Held with Tech Gear and Fake Docs

GG News Bureau
Noida, 5th May:
In a major crackdown on exam-related fraud, the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) has busted a high-tech gang allegedly involved in rigging NEET UG and other competitive exams. Acting on a tip-off, the STF arrested three suspects—Vikram Kumar Shah, Dharampal Singh, and Aniket Kumar—from Sector 3 in Noida under the jurisdiction of Phase-1 police station.

The accused were caught red-handed during a raid conducted by STF’s Noida unit under the supervision of Additional SP Raj Kumar Mishra and Deputy SP Navendu Kumar. FIR No. 182/2025 has been lodged against them under sections 318, 319, 336, 337, 338, 340, and 61(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

Seized Items and Modus Operandi
The STF recovered a wide range of incriminating evidence including:

  • 6 calling mobile phones
  • 4 personal phones
  • 2 encrypted Aadhaar cards
  • PAN card, voter ID, credit card, cheque book, passport
  • A candidate data sheet
  • An Apple MacBook
  • A Toyota Fortuner SUV

The gang allegedly contacted NEET UG candidates’ families, offering leaked exam papers and guaranteed selection for ₹5 lakh. Students were instructed to fill OMR sheets partially and leave the rest blank, which were later swapped with answer-filled sheets.

A Decade of Deceit
Vikram Kumar Shah, 30, originally from Darbhanga, Bihar, began his operations after completing a biotech degree from Vinayaka Mission University in Chennai, where he met co-accused Aniket Kumar. They initially worked as admission agents, charging hefty commissions. Later, they formed a Delhi-based firm named Admission View and expanded into full-scale examination fraud.

Upon rising complaints and legal threats, the gang rebranded in 2023 as SHREYANVI EDU OPC PVT LTD, continuing their racket from Noida’s Sector 3.

Further Action Underway

Police said the investigation is ongoing and more arrests may follow as officials dig deeper into the gang’s national network targeting medical aspirants. Authorities have also urged parents and students to remain vigilant against such fraudulent offers during the ongoing NEET UG 2025 admission cycle.
