Lucknow, 10th Feb. Uttar Pradesh recorded a voter turnout of 7.95 percent till 9:30 AM in the first phase of Assembly polls on Thursday.
According to the Election Commission, the Mathura assembly seat recorded 8.23 percent voter turnout, Agra 7.64 percent while 8.93 percent turnout was recorded from the Baghpat seat.
Aligarh seat witnessed a voter turnout of 8.39 per cent whereas the Gautam Buddha Nagar reported an 8.07 % turnout.
Voting for the first phase of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls started on Thursday at 7:00 am.
Elections for 403 assembly constituencies in Uttar Pradesh are scheduled to be held in seven phases starting Feb 10. Voting will be held on February 10, 14, 20, 23, 27 and March 3 & 7. The counting of votes and result declaration will take place on March 10.
