UP: CM Yogi Announces Rs 5 Lakh Each to Families of 4 Youths from Ghazipur Killed in Nepal Plane Crash

Lucknow, 18th Jan. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh each for the families of the four youths from Uttar Pradesh’s Ghazipur district who died in a plane crash in Nepal on Tuesday.
He also expressed his condolences to the Ghazipur residents who died in the plane crash on Sunday.
Nepalese authorities began handing over the bodies of those killed to family members on Tuesday, two days after Yeti Airlines’ plane carrying 72 people, including five Indians, crashed in the resort city of Pokhara, raising the death toll to 71.
Two more bodies were recovered from the accident site on Tuesday, bringing the total number of confirmed dead to 71, according to Nepal Army spokesperson Narayan Siwal.
“The CM has announced financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh each to the families of those who died in the crash in Ghazipur,” the state government said in a statement issued here.
He also stated that the state government will bear the cost of transporting the bodies from Nepal.
Ghazipur’s four youths, Abhishek Khushwaha, Sonu Jaiswal, Vishal Sharma, and Anil Kumar Rajbhar, were killed in the Nepal crash on Sunday, said District Magistrate Aryaka Akhauri.
