New Delhi, 12th Sept. Union Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan approved major road development projects across Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Kerala. The approvals include the construction and upgrade of rural roads and bridges aimed at enhancing infrastructure under various government schemes.
For Madhya Pradesh, the approval encompasses 60 roads totaling 152.44 kilometers at a cost of ₹113.58 crores under the PM Gram Sadak Yojana. Specific districts receiving approvals include Anuppur, Ashok Nagar, Balaghat, Chhindwara, Guna, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Katni, Morena, Sheopur, Shivpuri, Sidhi, Umaria, and Vidisha.
In Maharashtra, a substantial road work approval of 745.286 kilometers was granted, involving the construction of 117 roads at an estimated cost of ₹655.66 crores.
Kerala received approval for the construction of 11 bridges at a cost of ₹55.28 crores under PM Gram Sadak Yojana-3, alongside other road development initiatives.
These approvals are part of the ongoing efforts to improve rural connectivity and infrastructure across the country.
