Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav & Uttarakhand CM Dhami Release a Tigress in Rajaji National Park’s Motichur Range

Dehradun, 20th May. Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav and Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami released a tigress brought from the Corbett Tiger Reserve’s Forest region into the Rajaji Tiger Reserve’s Motichur forest area.

Pushkar Singh Dhami said, efforts are being made to make this part of Rajaji National Park a tourism hub, and visitors should come to experience the natural beauty.

Continuous work is being done to maintain a balance between ecology and economy and protect and enhance the environment,” he said.

Rajaji National Park is a tiger reserve and national park in Uttarakhand that spans three districts: Haridwar, Dehradun, and Pauri Garhwal.

He noted how many people visit Rajaji National Park to see its vast diversity and thanked Bhupendra Yadav for his presence.

“People come here to Rajaji National Park in huge numbers to witness the natural beauty and its rich diversity. On this occasion, I thank our Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav for his presence,” said CM Dhami.

On April 20, Union Minister Bhupender Yadav released two cubs in the arena of a white tiger enclosure at Delhi’s National Zoological Park.

The two cubs, a male and a female, are about eight months old, and the Union Minister has called the female cub “Avani” (Earth) and the male cub “Vyom” (Universe).

Wildlife protection has a long history in India. One of the most successful animal conservation efforts, ‘Project Tiger,’ which began in 1972, has contributed not only to the conservation of tigers but also to the overall environment.
