Union Budget 2025: Focus on Poor, Youth, Farmers & Women

 Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, in her eighth consecutive Budget presentation on Saturday, outlined key initiatives focusing on the welfare of the poor, youth, farmers, and women. The Budget aims to accelerate growth, boost private sector investments, and uplift household sentiments, while strengthening India’s rising middle class.

Focus on Inclusive Growth:
The government continues its efforts to drive inclusive development, ensuring economic benefits reach all sectors of society.

Private Sector Investments:
The Budget aims to invigorate private sector investments, essential for India’s continued growth.

Global Economic Context:
Ms. Sitharaman emphasized India’s status as the fastest-growing major economy, despite geopolitical challenges and global economic slowdown.

Personal Income Tax Reform:
A new Income Tax Bill will be introduced, simplifying the tax system, reducing litigation, and focusing on the middle class.

Agricultural Sector Boost:
The government will implement the Pradhan Mantri Dhan Dhanya Krishi Yojana, promoting crop diversification, irrigation, and post-harvest storage.

Makhana Board for Bihar:
A new Makhana Board will be set up in Bihar, aiming to boost the production of this important crop in the state.

MSME Sector Support:
The credit guarantee cover for MSMEs will increase to Rs 10 crore, and customized credit cards will be introduced for registered micro-enterprises with a limit of Rs 5 lakh.

Empowering Women & Backward Communities:
New schemes will support around 5 lakh women and entrepreneurs from backward communities, further promoting financial inclusion.

National Manufacturing Mission:
The government plans to launch this mission to support clean technology, solar cells, and EV batteries across small, medium, and large industries.

Child and Women Nutrition:
The Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0 program will support 8 crore children and women with enhanced nutritional aid.

Additionally, 50,000 Atal Tinkering Labs will be set up to foster scientific thinking among youth, and broadband connectivity will be provided to all government secondary schools.

Sitharaman’s Budget 2025 aims to create a more resilient and inclusive India, with strategic initiatives across various sectors.
