To enhance the non-tax revenue, we must link user charges of public utilities with the prevailing inflation rate as the government has to pay additional dearness allowance to its employees, said Prof. Goel.
For creating more employment opportunities Prof. Goel said that the employment multiplier is highest in tourism which stands strengthened by encouraging states by availing long-term interest-free loans provisioned in the budget.
He advocated Khadi & Village Industries Commission (KVIC) and Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) of India be converted into multinational corporations (MNCs) to stimulate job creation, aligning with the export of manpower as per WTO directives.
Needonomist Goel stressed the importance of strengthening the seven priorities outlined in 2023-24, likening them to the guiding principles of the ‘Saptarishi’ leading us through the transformative period of Amrit Kaal.
In crafting a new narrative for Viksit Bharat, Dr Goel urged for boldness, courage, and enthusiasm among citizens to embody the qualities of being street SMART (Simple, Moral, Action-oriented, Responsive, and Transparent) global citizens.
