New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s pet project Ujjwala Yojana has achieved its target. 5 crore free LPG connections have been provided to poor families through Ujjwala Yojana so far.
Ujjwala aims at bringing clean cooking fuel to poor households, identified according to the Socio-Economic Caste Census (SECC). More than 44 per cent of Ujjwala beneficiaries are currently are from SC/ST communities.
