Uddhav Thackeray Expels 5 Shiv Sena (UBT) Leaders Over Anti-Party Activities

GG News Bureau
Mumbai, 5th Nov. Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray on Tuesday expelled five rebel leaders from the party for anti-party activities after they refused to withdraw their nominations for the upcoming Maharashtra assembly elections scheduled on November 20.

The expelled leaders include Bhiwandi East MLA Rupesh Mhatre, along with Vishwas Nandekar, Chandrakant Ghugul, Sanjay Awari, and Prasad Thackeray.

This disciplinary move comes as Thackeray seeks to consolidate party loyalty and avoid internal dissent ahead of the high-stakes assembly elections.

Sources within the party indicated that repeated calls for the leaders to align with the party’s directives were ignored, prompting the action.
