Two Men Arrested, Ganja Worth Rs 50 Lakh Seized in Uttar Pradesh

Mathura, 2nd Dec. Two men were arrested and 185 kilograms of ganja, valued at an estimated Rs 50 lakh, were seized near a village in Uttar Pradesh, officials reported on Sunday. The ganja was allegedly being smuggled from Odisha to Nuh in Haryana, said Anand Sahi, Inspector at the Highway Police Station.

The police acted on a tip-off and intercepted a truck transporting the contraband. The arrested individuals were identified as Zamsed (47) from Faridabad district in Haryana and Zahul (30) from Nuh district.

The accused have been booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, the official added.
