Patna, 7th Jan. In a police encounter on Monday night, two dacoits were killed and a policeman injured in Patna’s Hinduni area, under Phulwari Sharif police station jurisdiction. The deceased, identified as Vivek and Lal Dahin from Nalanda district, were reportedly involved in dacoity and robbery.
Acting on a tip-off about the gang’s movement, the police raided their location.
As the criminals fired on the police, a shootout ensued, resulting in the deaths of the two dacoits and injuries to a sub-inspector.
The policeman is currently stable after treatment. One associate of the criminals was arrested, while the others escaped. A manhunt is underway to apprehend them.
