New Delhi, 6th Nov. The Twitter account that mocked Elon Musk and entertained the social media platform’s audience, particularly the Hindi audience, with a Bhojpuri song and Hindi tweets was eventually suspended.
However, clone accounts parodying Elon Musk began to appear, all having fun in the name of Elon Musk and with their blue tick indicating they are verified users.
The account that posted Bhojpuri chartbuster Lollipop Lagelu belonged to Ian Woolford, an American-Australian Hindi professor at La Trobe University in Melbourne.
His tweets caused a stir because the majority of them were Hindi catchphrases.
For a split second, Twitter users believed Elon Musk was tweeting in Hindi, as he went to great lengths to replicate Elon Musk’s profile. He even changed his bio to Elon Musk’s: Twitter Complaint Hotline Operator.
