Donald Trump, set to be sworn in as the 47th President of the United States on January 20, has prepared over 100 executive orders to be signed on his first day in office, fulfilling several key campaign promises. In an interview with NBC News, Trump described it as a “record-setting” start to his second term, aiming to implement his agenda without delay.
Key priorities include sealing the Southern border, launching a mass deportation program, rolling back Biden-era restrictions on energy exploration, and improving government efficiency. Trump is also expected to pardon supporters arrested for their involvement in the January 6 Capitol riots four years ago.
The executive orders will reverse prominent policies of outgoing President Joe Biden, such as rejoining the Paris Climate Agreement and restrictions on fossil fuel production. Trump will also levy tariffs on trading partners like China, Mexico, and Canada, aligning with his campaign promises.
Trump’s team, led by figures like Stephen Miller, has spent months preparing this ambitious agenda. Analysts like EJ Antoni of The Heritage Foundation describe the scale of executive orders as “ambitious but achievable,” given the extensive preparation time.
Political observers note that Trump’s Day One actions will set the tone for his second term, with immediate regulatory rollbacks and sweeping immigration enforcement measures expected to dominate headlines.
