Former U.S. President Donald Trump has directed the Secret Service to provide him with all available information regarding two assassination attempts made against him during his 2024 presidential campaign. In an interview with The New York Post on Friday, Trump accused the Biden administration of withholding key details and insisted that he was “entitled to know” everything about the suspects and their potential connections.

“I want to find out about the two assassins. Why did one guy have six cell phones, and why did the other guy have [foreign] apps?” Trump said, demanding complete transparency from federal agencies.

“No more holding back because of Biden. They held it back long enough, no excuses.”

Trump’s remarks have gained significant traction on social media, with videos of his statements widely circulated on X (formerly Twitter). His security team, led by National Security Advisor Michael Waltz, has been actively investigating the incidents, raising concerns over potential foreign influence in both assassination attempts.

First Assassination Attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania

The first attack took place during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, in July 2024, when 19-year-old Thomas Crooks attempted to shoot Trump from a rooftop. The former president sustained a gunshot wound to his ear before law enforcement fatally shot the attacker.

Subsequent FBI investigations revealed that Crooks used encrypted messaging platforms based in Belgium, New Zealand, and Germany, raising questions about his possible international connections.

Trump’s security team has questioned why a teenager would require multiple encrypted foreign-based messaging accounts, with Michael Waltz stating:

“Why was a 19-year-old using encrypted apps from multiple countries? Who was he in contact with?”

The FBI has not yet disclosed whether Crooks had direct communication with any foreign entities. Trump’s insistence on full disclosure puts pressure on federal agencies to reveal more details about the assassin’s digital footprint and potential affiliations.

Second Assassination Attempt in Florida

The second assassination attempt took place in September 2024 at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida. Authorities arrested 58-year-old Ryan Routh, who had been planning Trump’s assassination for weeks.

According to prosecutors, Routh had positioned himself with a rifle in the shrubbery near the golf course, waiting for Trump to come into view. A Secret Service agent spotted him just in time, leading to a brief exchange of gunfire before Routh fled the scene.

He was later arrested on a nearby interstate, where law enforcement found six cell phones in his vehicle, as well as a note detailing his assassination plans. Further investigations uncovered that Routh owned 17 different phones and multiple electronic devices, raising suspicions about his motives and possible networks.

Trump’s Security Team Raises Concerns Over Foreign Links

Michael Waltz and Trump’s security team have expressed concerns that the similarities between the two cases—the use of multiple phones, encrypted communication apps, and detailed planning—may indicate a broader conspiracy.

Trump’s demand for full disclosure comes amid growing speculation that foreign actors may have been involved in one or both of the assassination attempts. His accusations that the Biden administration is withholding information add political tension to an already volatile election season.

Trump’s call for transparency has intensified demands for a thorough investigation, with his supporters urging Congress and intelligence agencies to release all findings. The FBI and Secret Service have yet to respond to Trump’s latest demands, leaving many questions unanswered about the full extent of the threats against him.

With Trump expected to be a major contender in the 2028 presidential race, the security threats he faced in 2024 remain a critical issue, both for his campaign and for national security agencies. As more details emerge, the political and legal ramifications of these assassination attempts could have far-reaching consequences in the coming months.
