Prayagraj, 23rd Jan. During Maha Kumbh 2025, a grand Rudraashtadhyayi recitation and havan were conducted at Maharishi Ashram on the banks of the Sangam in Prayagraj on January 22, 2025. Under the guidance of Brahmachari Girish Ji, a devoted disciple of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, 1,331 Rudraashtadhyayi recitations were performed by Vedic scholars for global welfare.
In his address, Brahmachari Girish Ji emphasized the significance of strengthening thoughts through transcendental meditation, stating, “The aim of today’s Rudraashtadhyayi recitation is to empower every Indian’s thoughts, aiding them in achieving desired goals. This is effortlessly attainable through the regular practice of Transcendental Meditation, as envisioned by Maharishi Ji.”
The event also marked the commencement of the Shri Shiv Mahapurana Katha Amrit Pravah, with renowned orator Acharya Ramvilas Chaturvedi Ji Maharaj delivering a spiritually enriching discourse. He highlighted, “Our dharma remains constant and provides joy. Its ultimate goal is the realization of Brahman. Loving God and working for the welfare of the world is divine and saintly. To live a righteous life, we must rise above desires, anger, pride, and greed.”
Acharya Chaturvedi Ji added, “Hearing the Shiv Mahapurana removes suffering and activates the body’s seven chakras, bringing peace and well-being. Listening attentively awakens our senses and imprints every word on the mind, contributing to overall welfare.”
The uninterrupted Shiv Mahapurana Katha will take place daily from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM until February 22, 2025.
The evening concluded with soulful performances by selected students from Maharishi Vidya Mandir, Kalindipuram, Prayagraj. Devotional songs and dance dramas dedicated to Lord Rama, Lord Shiva, and Lord Krishna left the audience spellbound and uplifted.
