Trainee Pilot Injured as Trainer Aircraft Crashes in Gujarat’s Mehsana

Mehsana, Gujarat – A woman trainee pilot sustained minor injuries after a trainer aircraft belonging to a private aviation academy crashed in Gujarat’s Mehsana district on Monday evening, police officials said.

According to Mehsana Taluka Police Inspector D.G. Badva, the single-engine aircraft crash-landed in an open field near Ucharpi village, close to Mehsana town, due to a technical fault.

“After taking off from the Mehsana airport, the trainer aircraft crashed into a field at Ucharpi. The trainee pilot suffered minor injuries and is currently receiving treatment at a hospital,” Badva stated.

Authorities at the airport and aviation regulatory bodies have been informed, and an investigation into the cause of the crash is underway.
