Mumbai, 19th April. Art has this amazing thing about it that just captivates those watching it in its creativity. This ‘baby face’ which is shown here is one such beautiful piece of art created by Gurudutt Vantekar from Panaji. But don’t confuse it with a photograph or a painting. This beautiful creation of a transparent look of the water flowing down the baby’s face is a ‘Rangoli’ made by Gurudutt.

This indeed makes us believe in the famous quote by Edgar Degas, “Art is not what you see, but what you make others see.”

Gurudutt is a graduate in fine arts from Mumbai. Every year during 10 days of Ganesh Fest he creates a Rangoli of well-known personalities.

In the year 2020, Gurudutt decided to create something different and choose a ‘baby having a bath’.

It was a tough task to create the transparent look of the water flowing down the baby’s face with a Rangoli powder. He worked 2 hours a day on this creation.

Gurudutt has got many awards and teaches art in the school.
