New Delhi, 23rd Oct. President Droupadi Murmu attended the event marking the 75th anniversary of the Bharatiya Adim Jati Sevak Sangh in the national capital on October 22, 2024.

Addressing the gathering at Thakkar Bapa Smarak Sadan, President Murmu likened her visit to a pilgrimage to a sacred place, offering her respects to the revered social reformer, Thakkar Bapa.

In her speech, she acknowledged the Sangh’s commitment to addressing issues such as poverty, illiteracy, and healthcare challenges within the tribal communities. She also highlighted the organization’s efforts towards the welfare and empowerment of women and girls.
