Lucknow, 9th May: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday launched a scathing attack on Pakistan, asserting that the country has now become so deeply entangled in terrorism that it is “struggling for its own existence.”

Speaking at an event on the occasion of Maharana Pratap Jayanti, Adityanath condemned Pakistan’s open support for terrorists eliminated by Indian forces during Operation Sindoor, terming it a “shameless display” that should awaken the international community. “After India’s action, when terrorists were killed, Pakistan’s top military officers and politicians were seen attending their funerals. This shameless display should open the eyes of the world,” he said.

The Chief Minister was referring to India’s precise missile strikes on nine terror targets in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) on Wednesday. These strikes followed the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which killed 26 tourists.

“Pakistan is not merely protecting terrorism – it is directly involved in it. Its involvement has now become so clear that it will have to fight even for its own survival,” Adityanath added.

Hailing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s decisive leadership, Adityanath said, “You all must have seen how barbarically our tourists were attacked. PM Modi took a firm resolve, and our brave soldiers have given Pakistan a befitting response.”

Urging citizens to support the armed forces and preserve national unity, the Chief Minister cautioned against misinformation on social media. “There will be attempts to spread rumours. But we must ignore such noise and follow the leadership of Prime Minister Modi. India will win – there is no doubt,” he asserted.

Adityanath concluded by invoking the legacy of Maharana Pratap as an inspiration during testing times. “Let this occasion remind us to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with our security forces and boost their morale,” he said.
