New Delhi, 4th Sept. On the eve of Teachers’ Day, President Droupadi Murmu extended heartfelt greetings to educators across the country on Wednesday.
In her message, the President honored the legacy of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the esteemed educationist and former President, whose birth anniversary is celebrated on this day.
President Murmu reflected on the pivotal role of teachers in shaping the future of the nation. “Children are the future of the country,” she stated, emphasizing the vital role of teachers in molding students into future leaders. She noted that teachers are entrusted with the significant task of nurturing young minds, imparting moral values, and fostering critical thinking skills.
Highlighting the importance of modern educational methods and technology, as outlined in the National Education Policy 2020, President Murmu urged educators to continue empowering students to lead fulfilling lives and contribute to national development.
The President concluded her message by wishing the teaching community success in their ongoing efforts to build an enlightened and capable generation that will elevate India to new heights.
