 In its meeting on September 28, 2022, the Supreme Court Collegium recommended the elevation of three judges from various High Courts to the position of Chief Justice.

The Supreme Court (SC) collegium led by Chief Justice of India U U Lalit, in a meeting held on September 26, recommended the elevation of Justice Dipankar Datta, Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court, as a Supreme Court judge.
