British Prime Minister Liz Truss on Thursday quit from her post after she had a victory in  the Conservative Party leadership contest over former Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rishi Sunak.

British Prime Minister Liz Truss resigned on Thursday after less than two months in office, stating that she "cannot deliver the mandate" on which she was elected.
