Surge in Racist Texts Across US After Poll Results; FBI Investigates

GG News Bureau
Washington, 8th Nov. After Donald Trump’s presidential victory, reports emerged of a wave of racist and disturbing text messages appearing on phones across the United States, prompting an immediate FBI investigation.

The messages, reported by the NAACP, targeted Black communities, summoning individuals to report for slavery. The texts surfaced within hours of Trump’s win, raising concerns about racial harassment and extremism.

The messages, reported in nine states, spanned regions from the South and Midwest to Texas. New York Attorney General Letitia James strongly condemned the messages, describing them as “disgusting and unacceptable.”

She emphasized that such actions would not be tolerated and pledged her office’s support to hold those responsible accountable.

The FBI, in coordination with the Justice Department and other authorities, is actively working to trace the origins of the texts and identify any networks involved in the campaign.

The NAACP’s prompt reporting of these messages highlights the persistence of racial tensions and underscores the challenges of addressing hate-fueled communications in a politically polarized climate. Local leaders are urging calm, with law enforcement working closely with community leaders to prevent any further escalation.
