Somnath Temple Symbolizes Our Timeless Heritage and Courage: PM Modi

Somnath- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday visited the revered Somnath Temple in Gujarat following the conclusion of the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj.

In posts on social media platform X, PM Modi shared his sentiments, stating, “I had decided that after the Maha Kumbh at Prayagraj, I would go to Somnath, which is the first among the 12 Jyotirlingas. Today, I felt blessed to have prayed at the Somnath Mandir. I prayed for the prosperity and good health of every Indian. This Temple manifests the timeless heritage and courage of our culture.”

In another post in Hindi, he highlighted the spiritual significance of the Maha Kumbh and expressed gratitude for being able to fulfill his commitment to visit Somnath. He dedicated the successful completion of the Maha Kumbh to Lord Somnath and prayed for the well-being of all citizens.

The Somnath Temple, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas, holds deep spiritual and historical significance, symbolizing resilience and cultural heritage.
