Pune, 13th June.
NCP (SP) president Sharad Pawar issued a stern warning on Wednesday, stating that agitation would ensue if the Maharashtra government failed to provide subsidy to milk producers. Speaking during a visit to drought-affected villages in Indapur tehsil of Pune district, Pawar slammed the current administration’s handling of agricultural issues.

“If the government fails to provide subsidies to dairy farmers, we will take to the streets,” Pawar declared. He emphasized the need for a change in government to effectively address the challenges faced by the people. Pawar questioned the efficacy of the current Shiv Sena-BJP-NCP coalition, questioning their track record on issues such as crop loan waivers and fair pricing for agricultural produce.

“If our demands are not met, the power to formulate policies must be entrusted to us in the upcoming assembly elections,” Pawar asserted, highlighting the upcoming electoral landscape as a crucial opportunity for change.
