Kannur, 18th Dec. RSS Sarkaryawah Dattatreya Hosabale Ji emphasized the need for self-reliant villages as the cornerstone of Bharat’s holistic progress. Speaking at the dedication ceremony of the Pazhassi Raja Cultural Center in Ealakkuzhi, he highlighted that every village should strive for self-sufficiency in all sectors, following the example of ancient Bharat as documented by Chinese traveller Xuanzang.
“Our vision is to achieve societal progress through community cooperation, free from profit motives. Villages are the soul of Bharat and have withstood the test of time through sustained efforts. However, dependence on government aid alone weakens their foundation. Development must transcend material growth and include spiritual and mental advancement,” Hosabale Ji remarked.
Reflecting on Bharat’s 75 years of independence and the ongoing journey of Amrit Kaal, Hosabale Ji noted challenges such as natural disasters and pandemics. He commended swayamsevaks for their relentless service in rural areas during such testing times, embodying the spirit Swami Vivekanand described as the essence of Bharat.
“While traveling through the rural regions of Uttara Kerala, one can witness the tireless efforts of swayamsevaks. Despite facing numerous obstacles, they have overcome challenges with resolve and continued their work,” he added.
The event was presided over by RSS Uttara Kerala Prant Sanghchalak Adv. K.K. Balaram, with Swami Amrita Kripanandapuri of Mata Amritanandamayi Math, Kannur, delivering the benedictory address. Other notable attendees included Vibhag Sanghchalak Adv. C.K. Sreenivasan, District Sanghchalak C.P. Ramachandran, and Khand Sanghchalak M. Ashokan. Pazhassi Raja Cultural Committee Chairman Biju Ealakkuzhi welcomed the gathering, and K.P. Sajith delivered the vote of thanks.
