Security Forces Destroy Maoist Weapons Factory in Chhattisgarh’s Narayanpur

Narayanpur, 7th Dec. In a major success, security forces in Narayanpur district have destroyed a Maoist weapons factory in the Kohkameta region. During an ongoing anti-Naxal operation, several items, including crucial weapon-making materials, were seized. Among the confiscated items were a barrel grenade launcher (BGL) and machinery used for manufacturing guns.

According to the police, a joint operation was launched on December 2 by the District Reserve Guard (DRG) and Border Security Force (BSF) in response to information about the Maoist presence in villages like Wala, Konge, Kandulpad, Pangur, and surrounding areas in the Sonpur-Kohkameta region.

Weapons, Equipment, and Naxal Materials Recovered

During the search on December 3 in the Wala-Pangur jungle, security forces uncovered a range of dangerous materials. These included the barrel grenade launcher, a machine used for making firearms, a kitchen gas cylinder, welding gas cylinders, foldable chairs, detonators, Maoist uniforms, bags, solar plates, large trunks, oil tins, soap, and a significant amount of Naxal literature, along with other essential materials used by the insurgents.

The operation has dealt a significant blow to the Naxal network in the region, with the recovered materials showcasing the scale of weapons manufacturing in the area.
