A group of 22 school children from Leh region of Jammu & Kashmir called on the Minister of State for Home Affairs, Kiren Rijiju. The students in the age group of 14-17 years are on a Bharat Darshan Tour. Tour is organized by the Indo- Tibetan Border Force (ITBP).
While interacting with the children, Kiren Rijiju said that he is happy to meet the children of Leh ( J&K) and this tour will help them to understand the diversity and beauty of India. The Minister said that the study tour will improve their knowledge and general awareness about historical places, social values, culture & traditions.
Kiren Rijiju lauded the ITBP for arranging the Bharat Darshan Tour giving the children an opportunity to witness the rich cultural heritage of the country.
This tour is conducted to expose them to the historical, cultural and social people of the country and the progress made in industrial, technological and scientific fields and also to inculcate in them a sense of pride for the country. The students will go to Bhubaneswar (Odisha) after visiting the historical places like Red Fort, Akshar Dham Temple and Parliament House in Delhi.
