New Delhi, 18th Dec. The SARAS Gallery, under the Ministry of Rural Development, celebrated its 2nd anniversary at the SARAS Food Festival arena in New Delhi on Sunday.
Shailesh Kumar Singh, Secretary of the Ministry of Rural Development, congratulated the SARAS Gallery for becoming a popular destination on New Delhi’s visitor map.
He also expressed gratitude to the citizens of Delhi for their love and support towards the SARAS Food Festival, which has become an important part of urban life in Delhi. The SARAS Food Festival has attracted visitors to the SARAS Gallery and boosted its sales.
Charanjit Singh, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Rural Development, highlighted the massive public support for the SARAS Food Festival, which has led to increased footfall and sales for both the SARAS Gallery and the festival itself.
The objective of marketing initiatives like SARAS is to ensure that more money goes into the hands of Self-Help Group (SHG) members.
Swati Sharma, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Rural Development, thanked the people of Delhi for their support of SARAS products and the SARAS Food Festival. She also expressed gratitude to Kudumbshree and NIRDPR for their assistance in organizing the festival.
Raghvendra Pratap Singh, Director of the Ministry of Rural Development, stated that the SARAS Food Festival, originally intended to attract visitors to the SARAS Gallery, has become a success story that has impressed both citizens and stakeholders.
During the celebration, the Secretary awarded the best performing SHG for their support of the SARAS Gallery and praised the core team for making the gallery and the festival successful.
A SHG member named Sunita Bari from Maharashtra shared her success story of earning over Rs. 7.5 lakh through the sale of Vada Pav at the SARAS Food Court and thanked the Ministry for empowering her life.
The 2nd edition of the SARAS Food Festival, which opened on December 1st and concludes today, has seen a significant increase in footfall and record sales. It has left a lasting impression on the people of Delhi.
