Research Will Establish Ayurveda’s Global Recognition: President Murmu

Puri, 5th Dec. President Droupadi Murmu graced the 75th anniversary celebrations of Gopabandhu Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya in Puri on Wednesday. Addressing the gathering, she emphasized the fusion of modern technology with traditional wisdom to shape the future of Indian medicine.

President Murmu highlighted the transformative role of emerging technologies like Artificial Intelligence, quantum computing, and 3D printing in research and development. She urged the audience to acknowledge India’s glorious scientific heritage, citing luminaries such as Aryabhata, Varahamihir, and Charak, who contributed significantly to fields like astronomy, medicine, and mathematics.

She underscored Ayurveda’s unique emphasis on both prevention and cure, expressing confidence in the students of Gopabandhu Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya to conduct groundbreaking research in Ayurveda. “Your research will establish the authenticity of this ancient medical system and enhance its global recognition,” she remarked.

The President also shed light on the invaluable yet diminishing traditional knowledge of medicinal herbs possessed by tribal communities. She encouraged students to explore the scientific basis of these ancient treatments, ensuring their preservation and continued relevance.

The event marked a milestone in celebrating India’s rich heritage in Ayurveda, with President Murmu inspiring the future generation of Ayurvedic practitioners to uphold and advance this legacy.
