Washington DC, 3rd July. A replica of Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir will be showcased during the India Day parade in New York on August 18, drawing thousands of Indian Americans from the tri-state area.
According to Amitabh Mittal, General Secretary of Vishva Hindu Parishad of America (VHPA), the temple replica measures 18 feet in length, nine feet in width, and stands eight feet tall. This marks the first-ever display of the Ram Mandir replica in the United States.
The annual India Day Parade in New York is renowned as the largest celebration of India’s Independence Day outside the country, typically attracting over 150,000 spectators along its route from East 38th Street to East 27th Street in Midtown Manhattan.
Organized by the Federation of Indian Associations (FIA), the parade features numerous floats representing various Indian American communities and showcasing the rich diversity of Indian culture.
Recently, VHPA-A organized a Ram Mandir Rath Yatra that visited 851 temples across 48 states over a span of 60 days, underscoring the significance of the upcoming display at the India Day parade.
