Gauchar, 12th April.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh delivered a scathing assessment of the Congress party, asserting that it is on the path to extinction akin to dinosaurs and likening its internal strife to the reality show “Bigg Boss”.

Speaking at a rally in Uttarakhand’s Gauchar, Singh highlighted the exodus of leaders from the Congress to the BJP and predicted a bleak future for the opposition party.

Singh remarked, “The exodus of leaders from the Congress continues. They are quitting the party one after another and joining the BJP. I am afraid that in a few years from now, the Congress will become extinct like the dinosaur.”

He emphasized that the Congress’s relevance would diminish to the point where future generations may not even recognize its name.

Drawing parallels to the popular reality show, Singh commented on the intense infighting within the Congress, stating, “They are fighting with each other daily. The party has become somewhat like the house of ‘Big Boss’ on TV. They are tearing each other’s clothes daily.”

The senior BJP leader rallied support for the party’s candidate for the Pauri Lok Sabha seat, Anil Baluni, during his visit to Uttarakhand. Singh credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership for India’s rise as a formidable nation on the global stage, emphasizing the country’s influence in international forums.

Singh highlighted PM Modi’s intervention in the Russia-Ukraine conflict, which resulted in a temporary suspension of hostilities to facilitate the safe evacuation of Indian students stranded in Ukraine.

He underscored India’s progress in manufacturing defence equipment and cited praise from US Ambassador to India Eric Garcetti as evidence of the country’s growing stature.

Describing the BJP as a party of action, Singh reiterated its commitment to fulfilling electoral promises, including the abrogation of Article 370, the enactment of the Citizenship Amendment Act, and the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya.

He contrasted this with what he perceived as the Congress’s failure to deliver on its manifesto pledges, lamenting that India would have been a developed nation if the Congress had upheld even half of its promises.
