Jaipur, 6th Nov. The BJP on Sunday released two lists of 18 candidates for the upcoming Rajasthan elections, finalizing the announcement of names for all 200 assembly seats. The lists include some new faces, such as a journalist and a businessman.
Dharmnarayan Joshi, the sitting MLA from Mawli (Udaipur), has been replaced by K G Paliwal. Gopal Sharma, a journalist, will be contesting against Congress’ Pratap Singh Khachariyawas, who is also a state minister.
The BJP had previously announced Poonam Kanwar Bhati and Sarika Chaudhary as candidates for Kolayat and Baran-Atru seats respectively, but they have been replaced by Anshuman Singh Bhati and Radheshyam Bairwa.
Other candidates include Amit Chaudhary from Hanumangarh, Chandramohan Batvada from Kishanpole, Vijay Bansal from Bharatpur, Rajkumar Rinwa from Sardarshahar, Prahlad Gunjal from Kota North, Babu Singh Rathore from Shergarh, and Girraj Singh Malinga, who recently switched from the Congress, from Bari.
Deepak Kadwasara and Arun Amraram Chaudhary have been nominated for Barmer and Pachpadra respectively.
The candidates for Shahpura, Rajakhera, Masuda, and Pipalda seats have also been announced.
The deadline for filing nominations is November 6.
The Rajasthan Assembly elections will take place on November 25, with vote counting on December 3.
