New Delhi, 16th Oct. Amid the ongoing tussle in the Rajasthan Congress, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot arrived in Delhi on Friday to attend the CWC meeting, where he is expected to meet Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi, among other senior leaders including Rahul Gandhi, KC Venugopal and Ajay Maken.

The Chief Minister of Rajasthan is visiting Delhi after a gap of nearly eight months to attend the CWC meeting to be held on October 16.

Besides Gehlot, other senior Rajasthan Congress leaders including Bhanwar Jitendra Singh, Raghu Sharma and Raghuveer Singh Meena will also join the CWC. Jitendra Singh is the party’s national general secretary and party in-charge of Assam. Raghu Sharma has been made in-charge of Gujarat, while Raghuveer Meena is a member of the CWC.

According to the sources during his visit to Delhi, issues related to factionalism in Rajasthan and pending cabinet expansion and political appointments will be discussed. Gehlot has also planned to meet former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, who is admitted to AIIMS due to ill health.

Let us tell you that the Rajasthan Congress is divided into two camps, one led by Gehlot and the other under the leadership of former state Congress president Sachin Pilot. Pilot on one hand is demanding the inclusion of leaders from his camp in the state government. On the other hand, Gehlot wants good posts for the people in his camp.
