New Delhi, 1st Sep. Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi slammed the Central Government on the issue of rising inflation. He said, people are directly affected by rising oil prices. He also spoke about the NMP (National Monetization Pipeline) scheme of the Center and alleged that the central government wants to sell the properties of the country through this scheme.
Rahul Gandhi said, there is demonetization on one side and monetization on the other. Demonetization of small farmers, middle class and poor is happening. Monetization is only benefiting four-five friends of the government. When they came to power, they used to blame that the prices of petrol, diesel and gas were increasing. Now look at the price of gas and everything else is touching the sky.
Rahul Gandhi further said that GDP means gas, diesel and petrol. An increase in GDP means an increase in their prices. The price of LPG has increased by 116 per cent as compared to 2014. Petrol prices increased by 42 percent and diesel prices by 55 percent respectively.
He said, ‘Modi ji keeps on saying that GDP is increasing, the Finance Minister says that there is an upward trend in GDP. Then I understood that GDP means ‘Gas-Diesel-Petrol’. “First Modi ji said he is doing demonetization and the finance minister says she is doing monetization,” Rahul said. People are asking what is happening in both.
